F.A.Q.

  • As a policy we do not give discount on the prices displayed on our website as they already represent the best deals we can afford to give. This is also the case with returning customers as they comprise the largest part of our business anyway. However, as a rule the sooner you book, the better the deal you will get. For example the current prices are excellent value and will most certainly go up closer to the time, rather like the way the flight companies work.

  • For Dalaman Airport, this is a meet and greet service and 24 Hours with NO late arrivals charge, After collecting your luggage at Dalaman Airport  you exit the terminal. Our representative will be there to meet you as you exit the terminal clearly displaying your name and he will have your car waiting for you in the airport car park.

  • It is compulsory to hold and be able to produce a valid National or International Driving Licence. (must have held a valid driver's licence minimum 2 years.) 
    Drivers must be a minimum of 21 years of age for cars and 25 for jeeps and minibuses. 
    Age limits will show on the available car page. 
    Additional drivers should register at the start of rental,  You can also name additional driver at delivery of your rental car. 
    Our rental agreement includes 2 main drivers free of charge. Any additional driver will be charged a flat-rate fee of 10 GBP regardless of the rental duration.

    Maximum age of driver is 80 years. 

  • Pay on Delivery in cash or by credit card. Cash may be Sterling, Euro or Us Dollars
    Please note that your credit card will be charged the amount stated on your voucher in your own currency, not in Turkish Lira.
    Please be aware that some banks may apply a small charge for  transactions abroad. We recommend you check with your own branch.
    Altough we dont recomended it payments in Turkish Lira is onother option…(payable at the rate of exchange on the day). Please note however that we do not recommend you getting Turkish Lıra from the airport because of the very low rate of exchange given.
    For clients who want to avoid currency exchange rate differences, we suggest to pay cash.

  • Vehicles are not provided with a full tank of fuel. It is the client’s responsibility to return the vehicle with the same level of petrol. However, on receipt of the vehicle there will be a minimum ¼ tank provided. There is no refund for unused fuel. If the vehicle is returned with less petrol than given on delivery, a charge equivalent in value to the missing fuel will be incurred. However, should a client prefer, they may request a pre-paid full tank at the time of booking to be paid on collection. The car should be returned empty when it is provided with pre-paid full tank otherwise there is no refund for unused fuel.

  • Child Seats can be selected and booked during the reservation period process
    Please note that these seats are of a standard ‘one size fits all’ design, suitable for a child weighing up to 16 kg. Should you have any concerns we recommend you bring your own. Any child seat will be charged at a flat-rate fee of £1 regardless of per day.

  • TomTom Gps maybe avalable and you may select and book during the reservation period process

  • CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) NO EXCESS

    This means your liability for damage caused to the rental vehicle is relinquished if it is involved in a collision. The waiver is limited to a certain amount and excludes glass , Windows,  tyres and any towing. (This can be covered by taking HTW optional insurance)

    All local taxes, insurance and delivery charges are included in the rates, but please note that damage to windscreen, headlights and tyres is not covered  by Turkish insurance policies. Additional optional cover can be purchased at a cost of 3 GBP per day for cars and  5 GBP per day for SUV's / Luxury cars and Minibuses.

    Fire Iinsurance with NO EXCESS

    FDW (Full Damage Waiver) NO EXCESS.

    In Turkey certain car rental companies might charge you up to the excess amount in case of damage to the rented car or theft of the rented car. We will not  charge you if the following procedure has been faithfully followed.

    In case of accident or damage to the vehicle;
    1. You have to immediately inform the Carhiredalaman contact. Details which is provided on your copy of the agreement.
    2. In case of an accident you have to contact the police and take a written report. In Turkey  you also need to contact the police even for minor damage. You need to get a damage report and a police report. When you pick up your rental car, please ask for this information!
    3. In the event of an accident, the vehicle must not be moved until the Traffic Police or Jandarma arrive. Do not attempt to move the vehicle even if it is blocking a route. 
    4. When you return the car you have also to make a damage report with our representative.

    We will not pay back the excess due to damages caused by not following the terms and conditions on our web page and/or the car rental agreement.  Please check the "Exceptions to an all inclusive insurance" section in the Terms and Conditions.

    Theft insurance with (Vehicle Theft Waiver) NO EXCESS

    This removes or reduces the renter’s liability for the attempted theft or theft of the rented vehicle. The waiver may carry an excess/deductible amount, which means that the renter will be liable for a certain amount of the value of the vehicle damaged or stolen
    If the vehicle is stolen and the renter cannot return the key i.e. the renter was negligent and left the key in a prominent and vulnerable location, the renter may be liable for the full cost of the vehicle.

    Exceptions To An All Inclusive Insurance 
    Charges for any of the damages below will be charged directly to the client, the most important are the following: Antenna, damage to car lock, loss or damage to keys, windshield wipers, glass, mirrors, wheels, tyres, interior of the car, spare key and car jack, hubcap, lights, gas cap, warning triangles, damage to the upholstery of the car, damages to the roof, damages caused by roof racks, extreme dirtiness in the car, underside damage, personal belongings in the rented car, damage due to negligence, tyre punctures and burst tyres, fuel errors, damage to child seats and baby seats, flat battery because of electrical devices not being turned off, loss of the car documents, loss of registration plate.

    The car rental company, in any case, is not obligated to replace any part or appliance that has been damaged due to the client’s negligence. 
    Towing costs are not covered by any insurance.
    Some car rental companies will offer extra insurances to cover the above exclusions. Local laws govern the terms and conditions of hiring vehicles and the rental contract signed on collection of the car is legally binding.

    Damage caused by drunk driving or negligent driving will never be excluded from the client's direct responsibilities.

  • Unless it is stated, unlike many other companies, unlimited mileage is included in our rates.

  • Legal responsibilities resulting from traffic violations incurred during the rental period must be paid by the renter. Sometimes these are paid on-the-spot, however, occasionally they are sent by post. In this instance, any traffic penalty incurred during the rental period but after the client has left the country, will be charged to your credit card and you will be informed by e-mail.

  • The customer is fully responsible for the choice of the vehicle for reservation, including the suitability of the vehicle for the rental purposes 
    The customer is solely responsible for assessing the suitability of the vehicle to carry a certain number of passengers and their luggage

  • When making your online booking, we kindly request that you carefully give us the Arrival and Departure times that are on your Flight Confirmation voucher. Please also include your flight numbers.  This information will enable us to track on the live system the actual time your flight will land and to have your vehicle at the airport in time as quite often they land earlier than anticipated !

    Please do not give us the time you expect to exit the terminal. We are experienced at working that out  as it is dependent upon the volume of flight traffic on a particular day. Likewise for your departure, please give us the departure time of your return flight and not the time you will return your vehicle.  This helps us to estimate the time it will take to clean and service the vehicle ready fort he next customer.

  • Most people arrive into Dalaman at the International Terminal. Occasionally however you may have booked to come from elsewhere in Turkey  in which case you will arrive at the Domestic Terminal. Alternatively you may be travelling from another country but may land first in İstanbul and clear Customs and Immigration there in which case you are also likely to come through the Domestic Terminal. However, if you pass through Istanbul “in transit” and do not go through Immigration there, then you are likely to arrive at the International Terminal.

    Because there is quite a distance between the two terminals and because they have separate car parks, please tick the relevant box only if you want us to meet you at the Domestic terminal. We would also suggest that you turn your mobiles on when you arrive in case you cannot immediately locate us. This will greatly assist us in having your vehicle ready at the right time in the right place! Thanks.

  • Please do not worry if your flight  is due to arrive in Dalaman in the middle of the night or the very early hours of the morning.

    Our Dalaman team is very experienced at checking actual flight landing times and will meet customers at any time of the day or night.

    However it is vital that on booking you give us your correct flight number and expected   arrival time in order that we have your  vehicle ready on your arrival. In the event of a delay, please do not worry as we will have checked your arrival time on the live system.

  • GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    PAYMENT AND EXCHANGE RATES : Payment  is on delivery of your vehicle. We do not require a deposit. 
    Payment may be in CASH – Sterling (but unfortunately not Scottish notes)   Euros or Dollars.
    Please note however, that even if you choose to pay by cash,we will still require a credit card (as a deposit only – no funds are deducted or blocked) in the name of  the main driver.
    Payment  may also be by CREDIT CARD . please note that your card will only be charged the agreed amount in your own currency, not in Turkish lira. We do not add any commission or handling fee.
    At present we are unable to accept any other form of card payment such as debit cards.
    You are also welcome to pay in the local currency the Turkish Lira (TL). In this instance we use the current rate of exchange on the day of delivery. However, please beware of fluctuating rates, particularly the very low rate of exchange generally given in your home country or inside the terminal when you arrive.
    For clients who want to avoid currency exchange rate differences, we suggest to pay cash.

    SECURITY REQUIREMENTS : Clients must be in possession of a valid credit card in order to collect the vehicle. This MUST be in the name of the main driver and CANNOT be a pre-paid credit card or debit card and must have sufficient funds available. This enables the supplier to authorise a security deposit which covers any parking or speeding fines, un-insured parts of the vehicle or fuel charges if applicable and in the unlikely event that a claim is made when the insurance has been invalidated. This is essential even if you pay by cash.

    CHILD & BOOSTER SEATS : These are avilable for an additional charge of £10 per rental. They must be fitted by a parent or guardian. The child seats are suitable for a child of up to 16kg in weight.  They should be requested at the time of booking.
    These can be reserved during your booking process by ticking the Child Seat request box which will be clearly displayed on the Optional Extras page 
    Baby Seat - 0-13 kg (Birth to approx 9-12 mths) 
    Child Seat - 9 to16 kg (approx 9 mths 4 yrs) 
    Booster Seat - 15 to 36 kg (approx 4 mths to 11 yrs)

    GPS :  TomTom Gps maybe avalable and you may select and book during the reservation period process

    DALAMAN AIRPORT CAR PARK FEE : This Arrivals parking fee paid by costomers (£2 to £3) while they leave the Airport car park, on your return, there is no charge for quick departure parking.

    ROAD ASSISTANCE : This service is 24 hours in English also Turkish.  0090 533 244 5433

    FUEL POLICY :  Vehicles are not provided with a full tank on delivery. However we endeavour to provide at least  ¼  of a tank to get you on your way. Our is based at the Opet Petrol Station which is the first one you will come to when exiting the airport just a couple of kms away. You can fill up here if you wish as it is open 24 hours or at one of the many stations you will find en route to your destination. 
    On signing over the vehicle, the amount of fuel included will be noted on the hire agreement and it is the responsibility of the client to return the vehicle with the same amount of petrol. There is no refund for unused fuel and if the vehicle is returned with less than given on delivery, a charge equivalent to the missing fuel will be incurred.
    Should a client prefer, they may request a full tank of pre-paid fuel on delivery. This should be requested when booking. The vehicle should then be returned empty otherwise there is no refund for unused fuel. Our staff will be able to assist you if you have any queries regarding fuel consumption.

    MILLAGE :  Unless it is stated, unlike many other companies, unlimited mileage is included in our rates. 

    DELEYAD RETURNS :  For each full hour the charge is 1/3 of the daily rate.  If it exceeds 3 hours then it will be counted as an extra day

    TRAFFIC FINES :  Legal responsibilities resulting from traffic violations incurred during the rental period must be paid by the renter. Sometimes these are paid on-the-spot, however, occasionally they are sent by post. In this instance, any traffic penalty incurred during the rental period but after the client has left the country, will be charged to your credit card and you will be informed by e-mail.

    Turkey is working very hard to improve the national grid of roads particularly in this fast-developing region. Inevitably this leads to sometimes heavy and constant roadworks in one region or another and even the most careful of drivers often  incur unexpected damage. For peace of mind whilst driving in Turkey we highly recommend this extra cover which is a very small amount compared to the cost of a repacement tyre or windscreen or headlight, but we do stress that this cover is entirely optional. It can be selected at the time of booking or can be added to your total cost on your arrival should you choose. 
    The cost is £3 per day for economy cars and jeeps and £5 per day for  minibuses, SUV’s and luxury jeeps or saloons.
